The Bridgewater EMS division has see some impressive improvements the last few years. New training programs and new staffing has had a dramatic increase in those interested in becoming an EMT. The EMS unit works under the Fire Chief, Donny Atwood, who oversees both. The Public Safety Department is moving away from a volunteer service to an “on-call” service. All members of the fire, EMS and police, are paid an hourly wage for time spent responding to calls.
